Fabric Care
The Top 1% of Cotton.
At Bare Solids, we don’t use standard cotton, and we strictly refuse polyester. We craft our t-shirts exclusively from American grown Supima® cotton which is a rare fiber representing less than 1% of the cotton grown worldwide.
Why it feels different:
-
Buttery Softness: Supima fibers are 35% longer than regular cotton. This extra length creates a smoother yarn with less friction, resulting in a fabric that feels distinctly silky against your skin.
-
Unrivaled Resilience: It is twice as strong as regular cotton. This structural integrity means your t-shirt resists pilling, breaking, and tearing, maintaining its shape for a longer time
-
Deep Color Retention: Our solid colors from Hunter Green to Jet Black penetrate deeper into Supima fibers. While ordinary cotton fades to grey, Supima holds its vibrancy, ensuring your solids stay solid.
Treat It Well, It Lasts Forever.
Supima cotton is durable, but it is a natural luxury product. To maintain the buttery texture and the depth of the color, we recommend a gentle care ritual.
01. Hand Wash Preferred To maintain the pristine condition of the fabric, we strongly recommend hand washing in cold water. If machine washing is necessary, strictly use the gentle or delicate cycle to mimic the care of a hand wash. Avoid heavy spin cycles to protect the fibers.
02. Skip the Bleach Never use chlorine bleach or harsh chemical detergents. They damage the cotton fiber, reducing softness and dulling the color.
03. Dry with Care Do not wring or twist the wet fabric, as this can distort the fit. Gently press out excess water, then lay flat to dry in the shade. If you must machine dry, use the lowest heat setting and remove the shirt while slightly damp.
04. Ironing Supima naturally resists deep creasing better than standard cotton. If needed, iron on a low setting or steam specifically to remove creases. Do not iron directly over the neck label.
